Five minutes on foot to the footpath and cycle path as well as beer garden and piers for the small round-trip ships on the Rhine. Shopping: drink market: ca. 200 m. petrol station: 500 m. Baker‘s, butcher‘s, cash dispencer and 3 restaurants 800m. Supermarkets, chemist‘s etc. 2 km (in Vallendar).

Urbar lies in the middle of the Rhine valley where the rivers Moselle and Lahn flow into the Rhine. There are numerous castles and palaces that can be easily reached on foot, by bicycle or by car. It is only 35 km to the famous Loreley rock. There is a cycle path from the beer garden (about 5 mins. from the house) along the Rhine as far as Braubach or along the River Lahn as far as Nassau. There are several heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools within close reach. Sporting activities include riding, tennis, fishing, fitness, mini-golf, canoeing on the Lahn, bowling, hiking. The butterfly house and the palace in Bendorf are really worth seeing. A boat trip on the Rhine from Koblenz to the Loreley rock is an experience for all visitors. The Eifel region with its volcanic lakes and particularly the Laacher See with its wonderful abbey, also the Westerwald, Hunsrück and Taunus regions are not far and are easy to get to. The city of Koblenz offers its guests a wide variety of cultural events among other things.

Routing: On the A3 as far as Dernbacher Dreieck, then onto the A48 , exit at Bendorf, then onto the B42 towards Vallendar to Urbar.
On the A61 as far as the Autobahn-Kreuz Koblenz, then onto the A48 towards Koblenz, continue as far as exit Bendorf, then onto the B42 towards Vallendar to Urbar.
